WENDY PHUA

Wendy Phua is a composer and session musician based in Singapore. A Sound State is her vision of a sound approach to creating music and sound design for exciting projects in media, with a focus on creative originality, open communication with the client and most importantly a keen appreciation of project goals and deadlines.

Wendy started out as a Yamaha (SG) endorsed bass sessionist and has performed with Akira Jimbo (Casiopea), James LoMenzo (Megadeth), Mel Gayner (Simple Minds), Shaggy, and Emma Shapplin. She later released a solo bass EP Between Here And Then in 2008 to glowing reviews by Musikuz (Czech) and Bass Frontiers Magazine (US).

Having worked on a vast array of musical styles with established music directors and musicians, Wendy’s extensive experience onstage proved to be a valuable asset when she moved into studio work producing music content, As the in-house composer for Weike gaming Technology, her music can be heard on slot machines at casino resorts throughout Southeast Asia including Marina Bay Sands, Resorts World Sentosa, Venetian and Sands Macao, and MGM Grand Ho Tram. Other commissions include August Gaming online games, Synrgic Uno M1 (mobile device), Smash It: Invasion (mobile game), LINX (Windows 8 puzzle game), Four-Legged Friend short film (Media Development Authority of Singapore). as well as music and voiceover for recording artists and audiobooks.
