As an award winning Singapore based freelance documentary director and director of photography who travels the region extensively, Wan has recently shot and directed Lionheart (History Channel) – a feature length documentary on the conservation of lions and social issues in Africa.
His nearly two decades of experience has seen him shooting and directing projects on dementia for CNA and Discovery Channel (JumpCutAsia), Sydney Harbour Bridge for Monumental Challenge (History Channel and BBC Worldwide) and wildlife and orangutan conservation for the documentary Extinctions (Arte France/Animal Planet) amongst many others.
He has also made documentaries on North Korean defectors, children with disabilities and also hard issues in the conflict regions of South Thailand and South Philippines. His local documentary series Jalan has won awards for 3 consecutive years.
Wan is also a qualified Krav Maga instructor with Krav Maga Global, and regularly teaches the Israeli fighting, self defence and third party VIP protection system.
