Tingli Lim is a sound designer, re-recording mixer and foley artist and her foray into sound for films started in 2004. She has worked on several award winning films including Boo Junfeng’s SANDCASTLE, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival’s International Critics’ Week in 2010. Her works have also been presented at film festivals such as Berlin, Rotterdam, Clemont Ferrand and Pusan.
A multi-award winner, she won the Verna Fields Award in Sound Editing at the MPSE Golden Reel Awards in Los Angeles in 2014, the Best Sound Designer award at the Underwire Festival 2013 in London and the Best Soundtrack award at the 1st Singapore Short Film Awards in 2009. In 2010, she was one of the two sound designers selected to attend the prestigious Asian Film Academy headed by Abbas Kiarostami at the Pusan International Film Festival.
She graduated from the MA Sound Design course at the National Film & Television School in the United Kingdom, voted the best film school in the world in 2013 and is now based in Singapore.
