A multi-disciplinary creative based in Singapore. Having begun his journey as an apprentice video editor at a production house, Alex later had his art education at Lasalle College of the Arts.
Alex has received the Leadership and Service Award conferred by the National Youth Council in 2015 for his involvement in various community initiatives. He has since developed a passion to work on projects with positive social impact.
He was involved in the production of the micro short-films for the Yellow Ribbon Project to raise awareness of the programs offered by YRP as well as exploration of alternative mediums like augmented and virtual reality ( AR/VR ) in creating artworks on Climate Change for the Singapore Arts Week with Mesh-minds.
His passion for arts brought him to experiment with different forms of expression such as painting ( Mural Painting for SG50: Hawker Talks ) and performance arts ( with Ezzam Rahman at ArtScience late: Your Ghost from Yester Years visit me Once in a While). With an accumulated 10 years of experience in the industry under his belt in different roles as a producer, cinematographer, and artist, Alex has worked on various branded content for like DBS, MBS, DHL, NAC, etc. as well as camera work for documentary content like Talking Point for Mediacorp.
Believing that film has the power to touch the heart and raise awareness on important social issues, he is currently pursuing his passion in new film projects which explores the topics of religion, sexuality, addiction and recovery.
