As a directing major and cinematography minor from the Puttnam School of Film, Lasalle, Jason Lau has 6 years of experience in the film industry. He has been honing his craft as a lighting grip since 2012 before transitioning into the camera department as a camera assistant and eventually to a camera operator.
He has since shot several events, corporate videos, documentaries and short films. Some of his notable works as a cinematographer include, Insignificant (short film, nominee for Best Cinematography; National Youth Film Awards, 2015), Searching for Wives (documentary, Best Cinematography; Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards, 2016). Earlier this year, he was commissioned to shoot a short film that was funded by MM2 Entertainment and Temasek Holdings.
